reinstating green card

My brother married a German lady about 12 years ago; moved to Germany, got his German citizenship, and he surrendered his green card to the American Consulate in Germany. Now that he is divorced, he would like to come back to the US and would like to know what he should do to get his legal residency back. Thank you.

Re: reinstating green card

Under family reunification immigration procedures(assuming that you yourself are a U.S. citizen), you could sponsor your brother's petition for lawful permanent residency(green card) by completing the 1-130 and related forms and submitting them to the USCIS for processing.
