Legal Question in Personal Injury in Guam
Should I hire an Attorney or do it on my own?
I was hospitalized for food poisoning from a product I purchased. I have the reciept of purchase, a portion of the product , the packaging that the product came in, and hospital documentaion of food poisoning from the product. And several witnesses to verify what I went through and what I am still going through . I am presently recieving medical treatment for injuries caused from the food poisoning that just might be permanent damages to nerves. Should I obtain an attorney Or do it on my own ? If so how much would I or the Attorney sue for or at least give me some kind of dollar amount ? Do I have enough evidence or not to prove that they are liable for my pain and suffering and for the injuries that it caused?

If you are serious about pursuing a claim, and if you have substantial medical expense associated with the claim, you should definitely seek professional help. Contact a respected Personal Injury attorney in your area. Your Bar Association will provide a list if you don't know one.
Purveyors of unwholesome food products are strictly liable for the injuries they cause. Pain and suffering is always a component of a personal injury case.
Don't try this yourself - there are too many pitfalls for the novice to negotiate. You could receive a substantial monetary settlement if you case is properly prepared and presented.
