Legal Question in Family Law in Guyana

divorce

my husband and i have been married for 8 years two of which we were seperated, he has a bad attitude, he doesnt participate in any area of our family, eg making sure the children eat, go to school and are clothed, all this is on me he does nothing...I'm considering a divorce, on what grounds can i get one?

At present, there are 4 grounds for Divorce in Guyana. These are Adultery, Cruelty, Desertion ad Malicious Desertion. Since you and your husband are separated, you can apply for Divorce on the ground of Malicious Desertion or Desertion.
