Legal Question in Family Law in Guyana

If a man is of St Lucian descent and his wife is born in Guyana they get married in Guyana,the marriage is ended because the wife is unfaithful, she however initates the divorce process, the man however ever has not signed any papers stating they are divorce what certainty is there that he is divorce.

Once the divorce proceedings were commenced in Guyana, in order to be certain that he is divorced, searches need to be conducted at the Supreme Court Registry of Guyana to ascertain the status of the petiton for divorce which was filed.
