Legal Question in Banking Law in Hawaii
Mortgage loan sell off
My mortgage loan was sold to a company, EMC Mortgage, with questionnable practices. This lendor has also been unable to service my loan properly and keeps trying to add fees for late payments that are unfounded. These are the same practices some have lodged complainta about.
Is there a way I can force the sale of my loan to another lendor?

Re: Mortgage loan sell off
You can sue the lender for unfair deceptive lending practices under state and federal statutes.
You cannot force the sale of their portfolio to another bank.
