Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Hawaii

bankruptcy/foreclosure

Aloha. We own 2 houses; both are

rentals , but one may be foreclosed

on soon, and is in only one of our

names. The other one is in both

our names, but we are not married.

Is the second one protected by us

not being married?

Thanks.

Re: bankruptcy/foreclosure

Bank doesn't care what your marital status is; if Bank isn't getting paid the mortgage as agreed, Bank has the right to foreclose.

The same is true of the taxing authority if this is a tax foreclosure.
