Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Hawaii

Barter Practiceses

To whom it may concern:

I am attempting to form a Barter group for artists within Honolulu. An associate of mine informed me that they believed there was a Constitutional ban on bartering. Is this the case? If not, are there any other legal stipulations that prevent trade without the use of money?

Re: Barter Practiceses

There's no ban on bartering, but the value of the services received is taxable as income.
