Legal Question in Criminal Law in Hawaii
my grandaughter who is 16 got caught for shoplifting at walmart mililani hawaii. she was let go with no parent contact. now the mom got a bill for $75.00 from bennett law saying its for resolution of a civil shoplifting is this legal?

The short answer to your question is yes. WalMart can request this payment. Mom does not have to pay it however and it should not be on her credit report.
