Legal Question in Criminal Law in Hawaii
What kind of crime and punishment is there when one person has forwarded to his/her address mail from a business that is intended for another person without the person's permission or knowledge. For example an adult child, for the last two years, has been receiving correspondence from the electric company addressed to the parents. The parents and child do not live at the same address. The address change was made without the parent's consent or knowledge. What, if any, crime has the child committed and what would the punishment be for breaking the law?

If a U.S. postal service form was used to fraudulently change the address, it would be a federal offense. Did the account holders suffer any financial harm?
