Legal Question in Criminal Law in Hawaii

I work in a store.It was a busy day and it was short of people to work too. There is two cash regiester in the store, one for shave ice, the other one for grocery. So I have to take care of both cash regiesters. People are waiting in lines on both side, I was in hurry. Then, I sold a can of beer to a 18 years old gril because of I didn't check her ID. I was in hurry, I know it was my careless. After I go to court, the Judge had referred me to Public defender. But Public defender refuse to help me because of their schedule is full, the lady ask me to go to court to ask court continuing.

But when I go to court, the lady at court told me that I can't extend my court day because of my paper said'' 5 weeks- no plea, no withnesses''. She said I still have to go on the next court day to ask the Judge for court continuing. I just speak a little bit english, I don'' know much about law.I am not affordable to pay for lawyer,. What should I do now? Who I can ask for help now?What happen If I don't have any attorney defend for me?

You have a right to a lawyer if you cannot afford one. You need to call public defender again to schedule an appointment with interpreter before next court date. If you prefer, I can represent you and get your record expunged for $2,000. I have interpreter who can help us communicate. What is your first language? When is your court hearing?
