Legal Question in Criminal Law in Hawaii
water throwing
can I get in trouble for throwing water on someone? my husband's ex-girlfriend and i got into a verbal confrontation in which she verbally threatened to harm me. i picked up her water and threw the water at her, but placed the cup back down. i did not throw the cup, only the water. then I walked away. is this assault? i didn't mean to harm her and i feel bad now, but she is trying to send the cops to arrest me for assault. can she do this?

Re: water throwing
Short answer is yes, but not assault. You can possibly be charged with harrassment though.
