Legal Question in DUI Law in Hawaii

Dwi

I moved here from New Jersey two months ago, In new Jersey I managed to ring up three dwi' 1. over ten years ago,2nd 6 years ago 3rd five years ago, I lost my liscence for ten years there. I have done everything possible to rehabilitate myself and have proof to prove this, I have not been in trouble with thelaw since 2002. I want to ask for a conditional liscence here,I have my own Handyman business, and my current employer needs me to be able to drive and get material for the construction job, now if I can-not have a conditional liscence to drive to work , and to pick up materials and do other jobs with, can I get a moped or motorcycle liscence to get bac and forth to work, and what if I installed a wheel lock in my car, part of the conditional liscence? I have not had a liscence in 5 years, it has been brutal and troublesome to manage a career, I have paid my debt's and am lookn to move past this, any information would be great.

Re: Dwi

You have to get a clearance of your NJ license first in order to get a Hawaii license. If NJ will give you a conditional permit, then HI will honor it. May be worthwile to check with a NJ lawyer about a conditional permit for work.
