Legal Question in Family Law in Hawaii
my brother's divorice & child custody battle
My brother married a person who is bi-polar and has other mental/personality disorders and now they are getting a divorice. She is abusive to my brother and to our family, and we have even been threatened by her bi-polar mother. My brother was just transferred to Hawaii (he's in the navy) and as of Oct. 18th he is now a Oahu resident. My brother finally found an attorney that would help him get custody of his daughter, and my sister-in-law called to get ''free Legal advice''. My brother told her that was fine, and he'd find a different lawyer and she said ''good luck'' because she had spent the last month calling all of the lawyers on the island for free advice so that none of them could represent my brother. Now, he has no way of fighting for his daughter because she went and did this. Is there a way around this? We would be willing to do and pay anything to get my brother out of this relationship, but she keeps doing things like this, when their divorice was supposed to be filed on the 18th.

Re: my brother's divorice & child custody battle
Well this is primarily a Real Property Law Firm that does some family law on the side so I am pretty sure she did not call here. Also, it is my policy to only give limited free advice. If you want to send me her name and your brother's name I will run a conflict check. If no conflict (I assume none) then your brother can set an appointment to see me.
