Legal Question in Family Law in Hawaii

Child Custody

I am a 23 year old mother of a 16 month old baby girl. After I gave birth to her, I admitted myself into A drug treatment facility. I completed it, graduated and is still active in N.A., and very active with my sponsor. I gave birth on 2/07/2001, My boyfriend left without my knowledge with my daughter, and w/out my consent. It's been 8 months since I've been waiting for him to come back like he said, He's been living with my parents denying me all and any rights from my daughter. I want to know what are my legal rights to my daughter as far as custody? I had my daughter out of wedloc.

Re: Child Custody

Actually, your rights as far as custody lean very much in your favor (as the biological mother). Additionally, your baby girl has rights under the Uniform Parentage Act to access her mother. Is Child Protective Services involved? Are your parents or your X seeking custody? How many months do you have in NA?
