Legal Question in Immigration Law in Hawaii
Illegal Immigrants
*If an illegal immigrant uses a false ID, can they collect the social security they paid in?
*If an illegal immigrant becomes legal, can their S.S. be fixed so their wages paid in under the false name be combined with the wages they're paying in under their real name?
Could you please let me know if you have any information as soon as possible? Thank you for your kind attention in this matter.

Re: Illegal Immigrants
The Social Security Administration (SSA) allows a person to correct his earnings information in its records; however, if the error is due to using someone else's SS#, it may be difficult. The person would have to prove to SSA the he worked for a particular employer during a particular time and that the earnings should be transferred to his SS#.
