Legal Question in Military Law in Hawaii
Recording a conversation
My wfe is in the military and is being harrassed by a senior NCO. Is it legal for her to record a conversation between her and her harrasser on a military base? This is in the State of Hawaii.

Re: Recording a conversation
Oh dear. My suspicion is that recording a conversation with a superior officer would get her in far more trouble than making a formal report.
There are procedures and policies in place,--she needs to follow them whether she believes it will do any good or not, because in the end, it's her word against his and she needs to maintain credibility.
A discreet inquiry to local attorneys who handle this sort of case would be a very good idea, to see what she needs to do to build her own credibility and document what is going on.

You wife should consult an attorney about her possible harassment case against the NCO.
