Legal Question in Product Liability in Hawaii

business shipping cars to Hawaii

Based on a great need to provide less expensive purchasing of automobiles in Hawaii I'm endeavoring to start a business to ship cars to Hawaii for people living there. Being a Florida Car Dealer, my question is, can I sell via the internet or 800# automobiles, without having a physical location or being a dealer for the state of Hawaii to people living there? The customer transaction would all be done via our website, 800#, faxes, banks, etc... Assuming a car is a tangible asset just as any other purchase made from Hawaii residents there should be no difference. I've found very little help in trying to find an answer to this. Please direct me in any way that I can research this further. Thankyou.

Re: business shipping cars to Hawaii

Since you will be doing business with residents of Haiwai I would think that state would have certain licensing requirements. Either you or your Florida counsel should contact them. Good luck.
