Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Hawaii

notary

If a document is not notarized, does that mean it's not legal? To be exact, a document giving my uncle my house.

If it is a deed it cannot be recorded in Hawaii without notary, but that does not mean it is not valid. However, another deed notarized and recorded would trump it in the chain of title.
