Legal Question in Traffic Law in Hawaii
Fine Reduction and settling Inactive Cases
1. Is it possible to have fines reduced after a default judgement occurs? Tickets are 9-12 years old.
2. What is the statute of limitations for ''inactive cases'' filed 12 years ago for no moving violations. ie. no insurance, safety check, registration, etc.

Re: Fine Reduction and settling Inactive Cases
In Texas, the statute of limitations is tolled while you are outside of the state. You may have warrants outstanding, and may need to hire an attorney to negotiate the warrants, fta and actual charges against you.
