Legal Question in Family Law in Iceland

Child visitation

My ex-girlfriend & I have a 5 yr old daughter together. My name is on her birth certificate as her father. There are no custody papers filed. About a year ago my ex changed her job, phone number, & moved because she decided that she wanted me out of my daughter's life. I'm a good father & my girl loves me. I have never had a ''domestic'' charge of anykind. Can she legally take my daughter away like this? Can I legally knock on her door & ask to see my daughter? I live in Nevada if that helps with your answer.

Re: Child visitation

You will have to Petition the Court for a visitation and/or shared custody order. You can't just show up. The cops won't do anything unless you have an order signed by a judge giving you rights. You do however have rights.
