Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Idaho

Medical Bankruptcy

I am inquiring about medical bankruptcy, I have been advised by a lay person that you can file for this 'once' a year, which seems a little to easy.(?) I filed a chapter 7, I 'think' in 1992...and have since been swamped with medical expenses due to breaking my hip, and foot (several times w/in (2) two years. I have many judgements against me, and my payroll check has been garnished continually for several years. I can no longer make ends meet and am very interested in this Medical Bankruptcy. Please advise if possible

Re: Medical Bankruptcy

No such thing as "medical bankruptcy." Medical bills are often one of the problems that force people into bankruptcy. You can file and obtain a discharge in Chapter 7 after 6 years from the filing of the prior petition. See an experienced bankruptcy lawyer in your state for more details.
