Legal Question in Business Law in Idaho
Billing error - 19 months later
I used to own a small business, (LLC) which was shut down 16 months ago when I went to work for someone. A marketing company that I used to work with has now contacted me saying they forgot to bill me for some printing they did 19 months ago and that they are going to send me the bill for $1900.00 dollars! Am I obligated to pay something that is nearly 2 years old, was never billed for until now, was for a company that I owned but no longer do?

Re: Billing error - 19 months later
Tell them you are sorry, but it was the company which contracted for any services, not you personally, and due to their laches (delay) there was no bill to submit at the time of the winding up of the business. The company is out of business, so billing the company is useless.
