Legal Question in Construction Law in Idaho
new construction contract
I live in spirit lake idaho and hired a contractor to build my garage.
we are now aproaching 56 days after signing the contract and all of our things are getting distroyed from the weather.
my question is can a contractor take as long as he wants to complete a job if the contract does not specify?
I have only payed for materials and the contractor told me if I don't pay the rest he will put a lean on my home and force us into forclosure and I still have no garage.
any info would be great.
thank you.

Re: new construction contract
imposed a period as to when the contruction should be completed. You can do this by sending a letter to the contractor.
