Defective Computers

I purchased a computer in August, the first day that I turned it on, the computer said there was a virus. My computer had several problems after that that I tried to fix by using the tech support line. Finally after receiving no help, I had to get help from the Better Business Bureau and I am able to get a refund and I ordered a new computer. However, the new computer that I just received is having similar problems. Can I bring a suit against this company for selling these somewhat defective computers? Is that considered a form of negligence?

The Idaho Consumer Protection Act is available if the seller made any misrepresentations-see Id Code Section 48-601 and following. the easiest thing to do is to get your money back and buy a computer from another vendor.

You can also sue on the ground that they sold you a defective product. However, the only damage you suffered and could probably receive is the cost of the computer.

the only other way to go is to send the computer back under the warranty for them to fix and return to you.
