Legal Question in Consumer Law in Idaho
rent to own
my daughter had used this type of buisness to rent to own a washer and dryer from a Idaho state buisness. She could not make the payments, the set was returned and is in the posession of the buisness. It balance of $800 + was turned over to collection which she ended up paying in full. The buisness refuses to give her the set back even tho the original amount would have been paid in full. Is this legal?? Please help as this is alot of money for her with no product.

Re: rent to own
In order to advise you regarding this issue I would need to review the rental contract and the relevant provision of the Uniform Commercial Code.
There would be a charge for this.
