Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho
battery among family
My two brothers got into a fight. Both got tickets for battery. One brother got a fine and probation. The other got nothing. After pleading guilty and paying your fine, can they issue more punishment later on?(like jail time)

Re: battery among family
Batteries are misdemeanors or jail time type crimes.
once the sentence is entered, that is the punishment and
it stays that way. The only time this wouldn't hold true is
if he violated his probation and the prosecutor filed a probation
violation on him and the court could resentence him.
I charge $120 per hour and for misdemeanors I require
a $500 retainer fee.
