Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho

Felony Exoneration

I need to know how I go about getting my record cleared. I have had no repeat offenses and successfully completed my probation over 10 years ago. I work in the medical field and will not be able to continue if I do not clear my record. I want to clear my record and reinstate my rights.

Thank you

Re: Felony Exoneration

If you had been convicted of a misdemeanor crime instead of a felony, maybe you could get your record more easily expunged. With a felony it is much harder. Since there is no expungement statute in Idaho, you must file a petition according to the common law.

Whether or not a court will expunge your record relies on many factors: what was the felony, was it a serious felony that is necessary to stay on your record to let society know that you are dangerous? How did you do on your probation? Were you very attentive to your PO? These kinds of questions must be answered to the satisfaction of the court for it to order expungement. I give a half hour free consultation if you call for an appointment if you'd like me to review this further for you. 208-345-3817 However this will take some further research to determine whether this has been done by an Idaho court.
