Grand Theft by Possesion / both spouses charged
Recently a warrant was issued for mine and my husbands arrest for charges of Grand Theft by Possesion - the warrant was issued 14 months after the incident but listed as the same day 12 months earlier. I had no knowledge of the incident and my husband did / however he felt as though this ''appliance'' was not stolen and we sold it to our landlord (an attorney) giving him a receipt for monies toward rent. One year and two months later we were charged. My husband has tried to tell the detective as well as the prosecuting attorney of my non involvement and his not knowing that the items were stolen property / but warrants still exist / we will be unable to post 25,000 / 30,000 bond and will lose our homes, jobs, pets - everything / we live pay check to paycheck / What can we do prior to turning ourselves in / both of us are terrified at what could happen and the length of time just waiting for trial???

Hire an attorney as soon as possible. He may be able to arrange a voluntary appearance and release on bond if you have significant contacts with the Boise community. You can call the prosecuting attorney and try to make a voluntary appearance on your own, but I wouldn't advise this. Better to let an attorney handle this for you. I give a half hour freee consultation in my office and my teleph # is 208-345-3817
