Re: The Laws of a child molester and a new family

the laws of sexual offenders isn't really codified except

that sex offenders must register with the with the sheriff of any

county in which he goes within 5 days of getting there. Also, sex offenders

are usually ordered by the court in the sentence given not to have

contact with any male or female child, whichever is appropriate, during the

time of their probation or parole. After ten years have passed, the offender

can petition the court for an exemption to continue to register.

The chapter applies to a laundery list of sexual crimes and I will not attempt

to list them here. You can see this list at Idaho Code section

18-8303 in book 4 of the Idaho Code at the Supreme Court Law Library or

on line at the state of Idaho page, choosing statutes then the particular

statute you are interested in. If there is no restrictions imposed by

the sentence, then you are probably ok, except the registration

requirements.

If you want to come in to the office for a half hour free consultation

you can call me at 345-3817 and make an appointment to do so. I don't know

enuf info here to do more than generally answer the question. I charge

$120 per hour after the initial consultation.
