Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho
Is it mandatory to have two lawers on a capital case?
I work for a non-profit agency. One of my clients was convicted of capital murder and had ''one'' attorney on his case. He wants to know if that is legal or not.
Hope you can help.

Re: Is it mandatory to have two lawers on a capital case?
there is no law or requirement in Id that a defendant in a
murder case must have 2 lawyers. The reason that you typically see
2 attorneys representing a murder defendant in Ada County at least
is that the Ada County Public Defender's Office always double team the
prosecution in murder cases.
