Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho
Removing a conviction
My fiance' ahs a misdemeanor battery to a minot child on his record from approximately four years ago. He chased a young boy who was throwing rocks at his daughter and grabbed him by the shirt. The boy fell down and his parents pressed charges. My fiance' didn't know what to do and therefore plead guilty. My question is: Can this ever be challenged or removed from his record? It makes it look like he is a child abuser, which he isn't and of course, it hurts him with employability.
Thank You,

Re: Removing a conviction
he is not required to tell anyone about a misdemeanor conviction, only felonies. He can always try to file a motion to expunge his record.
