Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho
I did a stupid thing and committed a crime in Washington. I live in Idaho. Can charges be filed against me if they are unable to locate me?

Yes, and a warrant can then be issued for your arrest. Even if you're right that the authorities in Washington will not be able to find you (I wouldn't bet too heavily on that), the next time you are pulled over for a traffic violation or pass through customs the warrant will show up.
