Who's at fault
If a bartender drinks while on the clock, finishes her shift to go home, drives under the influence and hits another vehicle, would she be at fault or could the injured victims sue her place of employment?

First, the actual person who caused the damage (the drinker/driver) can always be sued for damage she caused. Often there is more than one civil defendant in a lawsuit.
In Louisiana, suits against a tavern or other business selling alcoholic beverages by the drink generally fail.
