23 yrs married abandoned hidden assests now what ?

Married 1978 Abandoned in 1998 Sence I've tried everything to work with him just to find. He borrowed $90.000.00 on our home and now there forclosing at the end of the month. I was not involved in the loan how could they give him a lone with out my permission? We bought the home in 1982 it worth 140.000.oo. Hes leading me on just to get rid of the assets. What should I do? Please help!

Your 1st sentence doesn't make sense.

Foreclosure takes months before the property was sold.

Why did you wait so long to seek legal advice?

He may have been able to get a loan based upon his

1/2 interest in your real property. You don't say whether

you live in a community property state. Also, I'd need

to review the loan documents to determine how he got the

loan.

You don't say how he is leading you on.

Why don't you file for divorce. This should stop

him from further disposing of assets. In Idaho, filing for

divorce requires the entering of a restraining order stopping

the parties from disposing of the assets. You can get an

additional order requiring him to list all assets. This is usually

automatic in Idaho.

I don't have enough information to give further advice.
