child support case
Filing for lowering child support on my own & plantiff answered with lawyer so now it looks like needing to get lawyer. If I do not get a lawyer is there a big chance it could get dismissed and then would I not be able to file for modification for another 2 years?

You really need to provide more information. Yes there is always a chance that the action could be dismisssed.You would be better off with a lawyer.
Assuming that you have a valid reason for needing to lower support(and you will have the burden of proof) the calculations of support are fairly mechanical.
