Legal Question in Family Law in Idaho

minor child helath insurance

My ex-husband was supposed to have health insurance on our son. He did not, so I put the minor child on insurance through my company. Can my workplace be reimbursed for the insurance premiums for the past 5 years that were paid to cover the minor child?

Re: minor child helath insurance

If there is a court order that orders him to provide insurance, then you can collect whatever you had to pay. Since your employer was not before the court and the order only affects things between you and your ex, your employer cannot get that money back frm your ex.

What you can do is to hold your ex in contempt of court for his failure to provide ins and you can recover any amounts you had to pay to your employer for the insurance for your child
