Generally, a new spouse is not liable for pre-marital debts
including taxes. However, you can assume these pre-marital debts
by contracting to do so as in a pre or post nuptial
agreement. This applies to back taxes of the spouse, judgments
or child support.

The answer to your question depends on whether or
not you have a Pre-nuptial agreement and what you
do and don't do financially (like comingling)
after you marry.
