If one or the other person that has past owings, as in back taxes, legal judgeme

When a person gets married, does past depts prior to the marriage affect the other. As in back taxes, legal judgements, or child support. these are important questions to us, so please reply as soon as you can.. thank you

Generally, a new spouse is not liable for pre-marital debts

including taxes. However, you can assume these pre-marital debts

by contracting to do so as in a pre or post nuptial

agreement. This applies to back taxes of the spouse, judgments

or child support.
