Legal Question in Family Law in Idaho

Step father's financial responsibility to minor children

I am a single mom of 5 children, two of whom are still minors. My fiance is wary of marriage because of his legal responsibility for them. What does the law say about this? What is his legal and financial responsibility to them when we get married?

Re: Step father's financial responsibility to minor children

Florida Law - Your fiance does not have any legal responsibility to support your children unless he adopts them. I hope that you are receiving support from your ex for your two minor children, if not, why not? The support from your ex does not stop unless your fiance adopts your children.
