Airbags did not deploy

I was in an accident on the 5th of this month. I bought a new 2006 ford focus zx4 in June and the airbags didn't deploy during the wreck. The person that was at fault did not have a DL or insurance. Our insurance my just total out the car. The we have to pay that toward the car and then our gap insurance will cover the rest. However we are left with out a car and the only car that we can be finaced for would be yet another 2006 ford focus. Can we do anything about the airbags not deploying? Can we make ford make it right with us?

With the little information you have given me it's not possible to answer your question. There may be other avenues to pursue some type of coverage for your claim. Were you injured? If so how badly?
