Legal Question in Immigration Law in Idaho
expediting your I-130
why did the attorney guru member tell someone to contact their senator concerning expediting an immigration app? Your congressman can NOT intervene and there is NO expedited process. I know- I have several copies of the e-mail from immigration in response to my Congressman's inquiry. Since the DHS took over immigration issues, they are a sole entity and answer to NOBODY - National Security is the call on that one. 911 fucked us all -------------

Re: expediting your I-130
Sorry bud! If you are talking about an immigration interview that is urgent because there may be a potential problem to the beneficiary as a result of a delay, you can contact a Congressman. Just because YOUR congressman doesn't get a response does not mean YOUR congressman can't do something about it -- maybe he doesn't want to get involved (that is what I usually hear). So you find other Congressman who might help. I agree that DHS has little, if any, oversight, and that is because Congress doesn't yet get the idea that they are supposed to provide oversight to that agency. That's what they are in Congress for: to make laws and make sure they are imposed correctly. If not, they want to hear about the problem. You might want to find someone on your local newspaper who may be interested in turning a delay by USCIS into an issue of creating an insecure environment -- that is, if people are waiting around still for their appointments, many of them may simply be here to do the obvious. Those people are being given a wonderful opportunity to create trouble -- and citizens of this country should demand that these interviews be done just a bit faster before something else happens. Sorry you sound like giving up. take care.
