Legal Question in Insurance Law in Idaho

Medical Insurance

My insurance company will not pay for my wife's chiropractic bills because they are saying ''you do not have coverage for dependent children under this plan.'' I've called them several times and told them this is my wife and not my child. They tell me it was a typo and it will be fixed, but it never is fixed. My wife's chiropratic office has written them several times, I filed a complaint with the BBB, but both have been ignored. This has been going on for 6 months. Can I file a lawsuit against them?

Re: Medical Insurance

You should write a letter to the claims person who is handling the matter. Also fax it, so you will have proof of its delivery, or send it certified mail, via UPS or Fed. Ex for the same reason.

Phone calls don't always get the job done. You can also file a complaint with your state department of insurance.
