''Dock'' someone's paycheck?
My husband's boss threatened to dock his paycheck for an error my husband made. Can he do this? Also, my husband's paydays are the 1rst and 15th of each month. In the past, if the 1rst or 15th fell on a holiday or weekend, they'd get their checks the workday before. So we were counting on my husbands paycheck today (the 15th is on Sunday) but the boss is holding everyone's check until Monday. Can he do that?

The date on which your husband is paid is not necessarily a matter regulated by law, but if what you're explaining is that on some weekends, he gets paid after the weekend versus before the weekend, this would be within the employer's discretion.
As to the "docking" issue you've raised, if your husband is a salaried employee, then his employer probably is jeoparidizing any "exempt" nature of his position by docking for less than a full day's absence (meaning, partial day absences). If your husband works over 40 hours per week but is not paid overtime as required by law, he should consult with an attorney immediately.
