Legal Question in Employment Law in Idaho

Sexual Harrassment

I had a incident at work where a fellow employee called me a MILF. (a mom i'd like to f--k. i followed protocol went to lead in that dept who went to Line foreman who told lead to keep it quiet. i found out and went to my supervisor. Eventually I was told by manager he would get back with me this week as to the results of the investigation. I have not heard from him, but have heard from the employee who made the comment that he got in trouble for using foul language. Is this considered sexual harrassment? What is your best advice to me

Re: Sexual Harrassment

It sounds like you have done the right thing by complaining to management. You may also want to just confirm whether your employer has a specific anti-discrimination policy that contains a procedure for you to follow to report this type of conduct. One statement (like the one you described) may not, alone, constitute "sexual harassment" under federal law, but you should of course report inappropriate behavior, as it affects your work. Please also keep in mind that documentating situations like this when they arise, through a written complaint, is often important to ensure that there is a record of what's occurred.
