Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Idaho
wants her things
a friend at the time needed a place to live because her roomates moved out. I agreed to let her stay with my family and myself as long as she help pay a portion of the rent and utilities. During that time she was fired from her job so she had Zero income. She moved all of her belongings in our home including her three cats which urinated all over my couch and my childrens beds. She agrred to replace these items but never did.5 months later i separated from my husband and moved to Idaho. She insisted on helping me move out there and wanted to stay. My husband moved all of her belongings out here and what was left of mine that her cats did not destroy. After the move she still did not get a job and stole 1300.00 out of my bank account (using my debit card) to pay her credit cards and car payment. I asked her to leave april 18th after making up lies about my husband to the police because she learned that he and i were getting back together. one month later she contacts me to get her belongings that she left behind..She owes me over 4000.00 in property damage, rent, and stolen money. I would like to keep her things until i get reimbersed. What rights do i have?

Re: wants her things
you need to sue her for the money she owes you and you need to place a lien on her possessions in your possession under a landlord lien, which is effective only if you keep her things in your possession
