Re: personal injury of child

There is not quite enough information in your question for me to answer accurately.

Mediation is often a voluntary process that the parties agree to use to resolve a conflict. Costs include the mediators fee which is usually an hourly rate as well as costs of any presentational exhibits or persuasive materials that need to be used. Other costs can include travels expenses or witness fees. A mediator cannot force any party to agree to any resolution.

A claim for injury to a child requires Court approval of any agreement through a minor's compromise proceeding. A conservator may need to be set up to manage the child's funds. Thus a mediation is also not necessarily the end to any proceedings arising from a child's injury.
