Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Idaho
my landlord won't fix my plumbing
I recently rented a home from a agency and they have found out that plumbing is incorrect and constantly floods our home. They have contacted the owner and he does not want to fix it. I know that gets me out of my lease but I was wondering if legally I could use the last months deposit for the rent when I give 30 days notice, because I am afraid that they will keep my deposit though it is not my fault about the plumbing and there have been no damages to the home.

Re: my landlord won't fix my plumbing
1. This does not get you out of the lease.
2. You have the right to force the landlord to fix the plumbing under Idaho Code section 6-320 by filing a 3 day notice under code section 6-302 or 303, and if the landlord does not fix the problem within the said 3 day period you can sue him for damages actually incurred and triple the same.
