Legal Question in Traffic Law in Idaho
Audio and Video
I am trying to find out if there are any laws that cover audio and video recording within private vehicles. Police are allowed such devices, I was wondering if there are any restrictions on civilian use. I live 4 hours from a law library so any help is apreciated. Thanks

Re: Audio and Video
There are no laws prohibiting a private citizen from installing video/audio devices in a private automobile. The law forbids the use of information obtained in this fashion from being used to blackmail or in other unlawful ways.
