Legal Question in Traffic Law in Idaho
Failure to Yeild
I drove into an intersection from a stop with a green light and a man was in the cross walk with a solid ''do not walk'' light, i drove slowly and honked at the man. i had to hit my brakes lightly. I was cited by an officer for failure to yeild to pedestrian code 49-702. by code 49-701 i feel i had the right of way. do i have a chance of getting out of this ticket if i set a court date?

Re: Failure to Yeild
If the pedestrian was already in the crosswalk, then no. the pedestrian always has the right of way with a car
