Legal Question in Traffic Law in Idaho

Is it possible to get these speeding tickett dropped?

I just got a speeding ticket for going 88 in a 55. There were two cops used to get me. One was standing on a bridge over my head on foot with a radar gun. I heard my radar detector go off and saw the cop use his radio. A different cop down the road pulled me over and asked me why I thought I had been pulled over, I told him I didn't know, and he told me I was going 88. I told him I did not think I was going that fast but he insisted I was and gave me a tickett. Would it be worth the effort to fight this? Any possible way this will not go on my record?

You have described a commonly-used speed trap. There is nothing legally wrong with the procedures you describe. Legally challenging the citation would probably not be successful. Sometimes such a citation is a cost of operating a motor vehicle and is best paid without incurring additional court costs.
