Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Idaho
individual 529 account in my name -18 and headed to college. Grandparent as custodian and they are emotionally and financially abusive to the point where I wrote them a demand letter to cease communication. However I want access to 529 college account as promised since they reaped tax benefits to place me as beneficiary. 529 plan serviced asked me to send them the copy of cease and desist letter and their attorney will look it over and decide. what are my chances of getting ahold of the funds to use for my college?

Very unfortunate; I'm sorry you have to go through this. It's a pretty specific situation. Since your grandparents are allowed to change the beneficiary, you don't have a vested interest in the funds. The custodian is very unlikely to distribute the account balance to you or the school without your grandparents' signatures. Terrible.
Good luck.
